9NEWS reported Saturday:
Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders is holding a rally in Denver in two weeks.
Reservations are recommended, his website says.
This will be Sanders’ first visit to Colorado during the 2020 campaign, which will hold its presidential primary on Super Tuesday, March 3, 2020, an email from the Sanders campaign said.
The recent Emerson poll of the Democratic presidential primary field put Bernie Sanders ahead of Joe Biden by a statistically insignificant single point, with Elizabeth Warren rapidly closing on them both with 20% support. Bernie won the Colorado caucus in 2016 and has a strong base of support on the Colorado Democratic Party’s left flank, but with most of the momentum in recent months consisting of Warren’s support growing while Sanders remains relatively static, a Sanders win in Colorado on Super Tuesday is by no means assured.
So we’ll be watching to see what Civic Center Park looks like when Bernie takes the stage a week from today.

Meh… Three years on and I'm still not "feeling the Bern"…
Bernie has had a seismic effect on our body politic and may be remembered as one of the people who saved our democracy.
I don't think he is going to be President, though.
What's your view of Warren, Duke?
What's not to like?
Or, he could be remembered as a politician who had a committed core of supporters but whose ideas, and whose persona, were a bridge too far for the general public to consider a serious candidate for President. As consequential of a candidate as Ron Paul.
me neither….
Reservations? Really? Looking back to the Sanders website, I found
Rally in Denver with Bernie Sanders
Can someone tell me what doors will be opened? Or if the park is somehow going to be locked down?
Of course, there are security protocols for Presidential rallies. People have to be screened for dangerous objects. The “doors” probably refer to the screening corridor and process. So plan on an hour or so wait to get in to see Bernie- or any major candidate.
GET OFF MY LAWN!
Colorado needs Bernie to shore us up?
Why?
Is there some sort of severe geezer shortage in this state? Do really old people make better sandbags than younger folk?
