Gov. Ritter today testified before the US Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works and its Subcommittee on Green Jobs and the New Economy, one of 4 Governors invited.
Ritter talked about Colorado’s success in creating green jobs, the New Energy Economy (of course!) Colorado’s first Climate Action Plan, and how these are all interconnected.
He told the story of Colorado voters creating an RPS in 2004, how one of his first priorities as governor was to double that, which was done in 2007, and how Colorado is a research and manufacturing leader for solar, wind, etc.
