From Bennet For Colorado:

Denver, CO — Bennet for Colorado announced an impressive second quarter fundraising total of more than $1.2 million on Wednesday, July 15.

The successful second quarter total pushes the amount of cash on hand held by the campaign to more than $2.2 mllion. [rsb emphasis]  To date, the campaign has raised more than $2.6 million in just five months.

“We continue to be thrilled with the support Michael is receiving on this campaign,” said Campaign Manager Craig Hughes.  “This strong second quarter is further evidence that people are responding positively to the work Michael is doing fighting for Colorado’s families.  Michael might not be a typical politician, but he is using his unique blend of public and private sector experience to provide real solutions for Colorado during these challenging times.”

Despite being hampered with criticism from Democratic activists since his appointment in December, Michael Bennet has put up some serious fundraising numbers. If the first round of numbers wasn’t enough to put a chill down the spines of Aurora City Councilman Ryan Frazier and Weld Co. District Attorney Ken Buck, that $2.2 Million cash on hand figure has to have them shivering.
