Sorry about this morning’s downtime; apparently we got popular late last night.
Instead of a quote, take a look at the front page of today’s Denver Post:

Call them the liars they are, people.
Jason B: call them liars when they lie.
Jason S: call them liars when they lie.
Why did Greta Van Susteren and Megyn Kelly fail when held to a real world journalistic standard? Because they associated with, and enabled, the lies so blatantly. Even Americans with superficial news habits can figure this out.
Why do politicians who triangulate and spin hesitate to call out the lies of their peers? Because even a little lie compromises their integrity and puts them solidly in the "both sides do it" category. And this is where the adults in the room lose the votes of those who thought they had an advocate, but don’t, because their advocate was all too willing to abandon principle because "both sides do it."
When you don't lie, like Senator Al Franken, you can call these muggers out and make them wish they'd eaten their Wheaties. And you can probably be sure that your years of telling the truth will add up to political integrity – eventually.
If you play the game and lie just a little (but with honest intent!), the game is over. You, and your constituents, lost.
It might require calling a liar a liar thousands of times, but eventually it will stop them, or at least make them hesitate about the political cost of the next lie. And that’s real world politics, Jason(s).
New Democratic Rules – old is out….tho the pros haven't all gotten the memo.
Zappy would never say it but I will:
Trump stinks!
So instead of just coming face to face with people who just want an answer, and then honestly giving them his point of view, Senator Gardner had them arrested.
Making America great again, indeed.
That's the kind of visceral photo that wins Pulitzer prices. If you don't have some kind of reaction looking at it than you are a sociopath with no empathy.
This photo is going to leave a mark on Gardner for the rest of his term. "Yeah but you are the guy who had those disabled people arrested rather than talk to them like they were your constituents about something that is as important to them as teeth whitener is to you."
You might just be right about the Pulitzer, G.G. and it’ll be well-earned.
And as for it haunting him for the rest of his term, more like forever. As I said earlier today, it'll be hung around his neck like an albatross in his re-elect, There's video, and you can bet it'll resurface when he's up again.
This week we have heard from every prominent Democratic leader the threat to the sick who will die from the a health care bill still under consideration. Chuck U Shumer, crazy Bernie, funny Al Franken, fake Native American Liz Warren, poverty pimp Auntie Maxine, Thurston Howell (Bennet), turban Dick Durbin, and other "B", bench warmers.
All this, and there is a real threat to real people, in need, who reside in Illinois. The bluest of blue states under preputual Democratic control is headed down the toilet, unable to pay bills. This is the model of government the Bernie Bro's want for the nation.

Actually, do they not have a Republican, businessman-turned politician governor? What's past in Illinois is prologue in D.C.
Someone has to be the adult.
And which state, pray tell, would you hold up as a model of Republican-led governance? Kansas? Mississippi? or perhaps a rust-belt state like Michigan or Ohio?
With as much bitching as you do about states with government controlled by Democrats, just remember that blue states pay the bills for the red states (unless they happen to be fortunate enough to sit on a pool of oil).
Michigan has long been controlled by Democrats. They even chose to poison their own citizens in Flint to save a few pennies on water. I know you like to run down Kansas but their financial instrument have not been rated as "Junk". Mississippi, someone has to be at the bottom. And surely John Kasich, the standard of "can't we all get along", his state must be doing well.
You're joking, right? The Flint water crisis was 100 percent due to the Republican governor of Michigan replacing the elected officials with his own city manager, who promptly switched the water lines to ones lined with lead in order to save money. People are being indicted over this. It's been in the news.
Wrong the 'Flint City government made the decision to pull water from a different source. The governor got the blame.
PP I see how you did that. You wrote an almost truthful first sentence. Almost. "Long been controlled"…. Not recently. You know that. That was the set up for the lie when you say Dems poisoned Flint's water. Dude, you fooled V, but you're not pulling any wool over my eyes. Al people with dogs are not good.
You are a lying fraud
"Lying fraud" is pretty much a great term to describe PP..
He tried to pretend to be nice when he thought Michael could be useful to him, but assholes seldom lose their stench….stay upwind, if you can.
To hell with news about health care, or North Korea, or the partial Moose Lamb ban, or tax reform, or Russia. Lets' focus on what really matters………
The continuing story of Psycho Joe, Low IQ Crazy Mika and the Donald!
In our last episode, Sarah Huckabee gave a spirited defense of her boss' right to defend himself. (I already miss Sean Spicer.)
Mika tweets a picture of Cheerio's with the caption, "Made for Small Hands." She and her honey penned an op ed piece for the WaPo.
And Psycho Joe has weighed in on the threatened disclosure Trump is holding over their heads which may break in the National Enquirer. (The newspaper of record for the deplorables and irredeemables in this country.)

I must admit I was skeptical about Russia and their intentions to undermine our basic institutions. I have been proved wrong. We must rid ourselves of Russian influence.

Yeah, the Russians tried to interfere in elections in, what now, 39 states?
57 states.
Colorado Springs made the front page of Politico. Proud moment for the small government right.
They seem to have been schooled by Moddy's math teacher (apparently a very low bar to pass the class and get your coveted smiley face). Look! We saved $1.25 million! Like the street light scenario, it's cheaper to feed and educate a young mind than to incarcerate them and care for them in our ER's. Good, wholesome food for every family would be far cheaper than our subsidization of high fructose corn syrup. Preventive medicine far cheaper than Type II diabetes. Taking care of our roads with routine maintenance far cheaper than letting the roads deteriorate. Keeping our rural hospitals viable is far superior than shuttering them, but you'd have to stop being a hypocrite with your 'get the gummit out of my life' schtick.
Kudos to the Springs on the turn-around. Such a beautiful town.
