Pols Named To WaPo "Best State Political Blogs"

  • by: Colorado Pols

Many thanks to readers who recommended us to Chris Cillizza’s The Fix blog at the Washington Post, for his list of the best state political blogs.

After sifting through hundreds upon hundreds of recommendations that came in via the Fix comments section,  Twitter and email, we are finally ready to unveil our list of the best political blogs in each of the 50 states.

A huge measure of thanks is in order for all the Fixistas out there for your great suggestions and advice — this has been our favorite Fix post to write in recent memory.

The state-by-state list is after the jump and, beginning tomorrow, will sit in the left rail of the Fix homepage under a link titled (appropriately enough): “The Best State Political Blogs”…

In a state where one blog was far and away the most recommended by Fix readers, we have noted it by bolding the name of the blog. In states with multiple blogs in which no one was the most mentioned, the order in which the blogs are listed is entirely random.

We were honored to get the “bold,” in a list that included other Colorado blogs like the worthy Squarestate.net and Face the State. For our part, we’ve found Cillizza’s Governor and Senate lines to be quite insightful, and are happy to help inform his and other nationally-oriented commentary on Colorado politics.

  1. The Saturday music videos 🙂

Seriously, it’s because it’s not a liberal or conservative site but instead has a cross-section (admitidly more on the liberal side). The Hawaii one is the same – has a complete cross section.
