Here we have one of the double-decker clown car of Republicans running for the nomination to be the next governor of Colorado, State Sen. Mark Baisley of Roxborough Park, doing the one thing you’re never, ever supposed to do as a candidate:

Not only has Sen. Baisley now jinxed his already longshot bid for governor, he’s given the internet a meme that will outlast his campaign! Baisley’s predilection for bedroom and bathroom-obsessed politics makes posing with a tape measure extended to such a generous length more or less a plea for attention. As an otherwise unremarkable back-bencher in an overstuffed field of similarly unremarkable non-contenders, we suppose Sen. Baisley needs any attention he can roust up.
