Kamala Harris Campaign Announces Bonkers Fundraising Numbers

  • by: Colorado Pols

According to a press release today from the campaign of presumptive Democratic Presidential nominee Kamala Harris, her campaign has set a new record by raising $310 million in July and doubling numbers produced by Republican Donald Trump:

This morning, Team Harris announced that we raised more than $310 million in the month of July, the biggest haul of the 2024 election cycle, with over two-thirds of the record-breaking haul coming from first-time donors.

Today’s monumental show of support marks the best grassroots fundraising month in presidential history. There is no question that this is going to be a close race, and while Vice President Harris herself has said she is the underdog, Team Harris’ massive grassroots-driven July fundraising shows the momentum is with our campaign.

Those are absolutely ridiculous numbers, none more than the fact that more than two-thirds of donations to the Harris campaign have come from first-time donors.

And then there’s this:

As we’ve noted before in this space, the departure of President Biden from the 2024 race in favor of Harris has changed EVERYTHING.

    1. There is a bit of potential confusion.

Scott Rasmussen founded a company and for years issued the Rasmussen Reports.  However, his website now explains "Note: Neither Scott Rasmussen, ScottRasmussen.com, nor RMG Research, Inc. have any affiliation with Rasmussen Reports. While Scott Rasmussen founded that firm, he left more than a decade ago and has had no involvement since that time."

The Rasmussen Reports polling organization published on August 1, 2024

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that, in a two-way matchup, 49% of Likely U.S. Voters would vote for Trump, while 44% would vote for Harris. Four percent (4%) say they’d vote for some other candidate and two percent (2%) are undecided. A week ago, Trump led by seven points over Harris, 50% to 43%, in the first survey since President Joe Biden announced he would withdraw his reelection bid.
