(This could be interpreted as problematic — Promoted by Colorado Pols)
In a race that may determine control of the U.S. House of Representatives, election workers across Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District are still counting votes to determine if dark horse Democrat Adam Frisch will upset Congresswoman Lauren Boebert.
In Pueblo, the largest city in the district, the local Republican recruiting GOP poll watchers to oversee the tabulation is an election denier.
Christy Fidura, who uses the name “Chrissy Ruckus” on Facebook, has repeatedly promoted election fraud conspiracies online, given trainings to conservatives on how to “stop the steal,” and even attended MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell’s most recent election fraud conspiracy conference in August.
In addition to being involved with the Pueblo Republican Party, Fidura runs the grassroots conservative group Pueblo County Patriots, which is filled with election denial conspiracies.
Last April she recruited members of her group to attend an election fraud conspiracy presentation held by the U.S. Election Integrity Plan (USEIP) and the Republican Study Committee of Colorado
Part of Fidura’s pitch to her members was that those attending “will be trained on how to clean these voter rolls up locally to ensure Election Integrity in the future. Those that are trained will lead teams in Pueblo.”
When USEIP released its since-debunked Colorado canvass report earlier this year, Pueblo was one of the four counties it included, claiming the canvassing efforts undertaken by its volunteers turned up evidence of election fraud. It didn’t. Civil rights groups including the NAACP, the League of Women Voters and Mi Familia are currently suing USEIP for voter intimidation.
Fidura has not only pushed these beliefs on social media but also acted on them while serving as an election official for the Pueblo GOP.
Last month when Mesa County’s conspiracist Clerk Tina Peters forced a recount of her loss to Pam Anderson in the GOP primary for secretary of state, Fidura served as the Republican member of the Pueblo County canvass board. She refused to join Clerk Ortiz and a Democratic Party representative in signing off on the logic and accuracy test that compares machine results with a hand tally to affirm the accuracy of voting machines. Instead, she wanted to conduct a hand count of every ballot, and such she also refused to sign the document affirming the recounted totals.
@annalynnfrey on the ground in Pueblo says the latest results included Gunnison, LaPlata and Pueblo county votes. Pueblo County Clerk Bo Ortiz says his county has another 3,000 votes to count. Meanwhile, former SOS Scott Gessler is in the house 👇👇👇 pic.twitter.com/FvgVDUgRv1

Fidura, who has been claiming fraud since Election Day in 2020, openly praises Peters, who currently faces multiple felonies for her actions, saying she “proved the SOS and Dominion [Voting Systems] manipulated and deleted data from the voting machines.” Fidura also praised another Lindell-funded conspiracist, Dr. Douglas Frank, repeating his claim that he “discovered the [algorithm] that was used to steal the election.”
Fidura isn’t just recruiting poll watchers. She was present at the Pueblo County election offices where the count is taking place. A photo posted on Twitter yesterday evening by the Colorado Sun’s Dana Coffield shows Fidura reviewing documents alongside GOP attorney Scott Gessler.
Fidura did not return a voicemail requesting comment. This article will be updated with any response received. Rob Leverington, chair of the Pueblo GOP, likewise did not return a call asking if he or other party officials have any concerns with having an election denier representing them in the poll watching process.

OMG
Why did they stop with this denier. Has anyone seen where Tina Peters has been for the last four days?
Nobody cares.
FYI, the Secretary of State's office appointed a special observer, former Eagle County clerk Teak Symington (sp?) to oversee the voting in Pueblo County. Mesa County has a designated election official, Brandi Bantz, from well outside the Tina Peters orbit.
These conspiracy freaks are a good show but nothing else.
Please send positive energy to Gilbert “Bo” Ortiz, the Pueblo County Clerk and Recorder. Bo has been holding the line for democracy in Pueblo and Colorado for the past sixteen years, overseeing recall elections, pioneering a ballot tracking system, and promoting fair and efficient mail ballot elections in Colorado, while also running the motor vehicle division for Pueblo County.
Lately, Bo has been slandered and he and his family have been threatened and stalked. While his office has made recent mistakes, 16 years of audits of Pueblo elections have found no serious problems.
Ortiz lost a primaryelection to Democrat Candace Rivera, who was elected as the next Pueblo County Clerk.
While late-arriving ballots continue to be counted slowly ( for accuracy) in Pueblo, take a moment to thank a dedicated public servant – Bo Ortiz.
Just wrote an encouraging note to Ortiz and crew via email.
Thank you, Bo.
+1
They took the day off yesterday correct? Holiday.
Don’t know. Hopefully, the election workers did – they deserve it.
They do deserve it Ortiz has had death threats and family stalked. Sick.
Denver Elections had workers "preparing ballots" — getting them out of envelopes with validated signatures, checking for extraneous marks, flattening them, and getting them ready for scanning.
Friday, we heard
Sunday was a day of rest. Except for the administrator who emailed, saying
As best I know, no drama about outcomes in Denver. But the work to finish "ordinary" votes, damaged ballots, provisional ballots, and UOCAVA voters continues here, so I am pretty certain it goes on most other places around the state.
Just took a gander at the PDF showing uncured ballots in Pueblo county and its multiple pages. Thursday next week most likely a target day for Boobert to be defeated. Reportedly CD3 district wide there are thousands of military and overseas ballots to be counted.
Military ballots usually lean Repblican.
In the Trump era, that "lean" diminished.
Anecdotally, I've read of vets who are still Republican and conservative, but who refuse to support Trump or those who are unabashed apologists for him. Their votes probably scatter, with only a few going to Democratic candidates.
Share this with neighbors if needed.
Colorado Ballot Cure Process
The deadline to cure (correct) your absentee ballot is 11:59pm on Monday, November 14th, 2022. If your local election official notifies you that your mail-in ballot was rejected due to signature discrepancies or other issues, you may use the TXT2Cure platform to help resolve it. Find out more here.
https://www.vote411.org/colorado
Colorado Sec of State site says (with my emphasis):
Who is impacted? "Typically, younger voters have fewer signatures on file, and have signatures that are evolving. Through leveraging technology familiar to young people, TXT2Cure helps make sure these younger voters have their ballots counted."
Another group of people affected is anyone new to Colorado who might not have a CO driver's license or ID yet. We saw a lot of these at the polling site I was working on election day.
