  1. Allen West: “I’ve ‘Heard’ 80 House Democrats Are Communist Party Members.” (emphasis mine)

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/

West sounds remarkably like Colorado’s Gessler.

West warned constituents at a Tuesday town hall event that he’s “heard” that dozens of his Democratic colleagues in the House are members of the Communist Party, the Palm Beach Post reported. West wouldn’t elaborate beyond that, however, and didn’t offer up any names. There are currently 190 House Democrats.

It must be a horrible burden to always have to ferret out the commie pinkos and illegal alien voters.

    1. that congress is riddled with members of the communist party. Romney believes Russia is still our number one geopolitical enemy. The GOP in general is waging war on access to birth control and choice.

This is beginning to sound like a Star Trek episode in which a wrinkle in the space time continuum has transported them all back to the 20th century 50s or at least an alternate version in which McCarthy triumphed, the gap between the topmost earners and the rest of us wasn’t many times smaller, the top tax rate wasn’t much higher and the Republican, war hero President Eisenhower wasn’t a self proclaimed liberal.

  2. Newt the Hut is the only Fiscal Conservative in the GOP Presidential Race that can “rescue” America from it’s current recession. That means bouncing checks to save money:

Deadbeat Gingrich Campaign Bounces a Check

Oh dear: the Newt Gingrich campaign has humiliatingly bounced a $500 check. The money, which he may not even have, was intended to save Gingrich a spot on the June 26th Utah primary. Psst! Gingrich! Romney is going to win Utah. We would urge Gingrich to use the $500 on something more practical: a Proenza Schouler continental wallet, in red, that he can mail to Juli Weiner, c/o Vanity Fair, for example. But, again, he may not even have the money. Keep saving, Newt! You’ll get that wallet someday.

“Our office immediately attempted to contact the campaign and the designated agent but no phone calls were returned,” Utah’s state election director told ABC News. “We also asked the state Republican Party to assist us, but they also could not get into communication with them.” Failing to return phone calls is known to be a 100-percent effective strategy in avoiding people to whom you owe money. There is also a possibility that the campaign did not return the call so to save money on the phone bill.

  3. Saw on MSNBC this morning definitive proof that “there is no republican war on women”.

    Paraphrasing, but pretty darned close:

    Thomas Roberts’ question:

“with 90 Bills passed in States with republican Majorities in House and Senate that severely restrict womens’ access to health needs and severe limitations on screenings and routine procedures, how can you say there’s no validity to the charge that the republicans are waging a war on women?”

    RNC Chair Reince Priebus:

“Because there’s no war on women. And as long as you can’t accept that pro-life is pro-women, we’ll never be on the same page.”

So my question at this point is:

how is denying women access to basic health needs pro women?

  4. Condoleezza Rice: ‘I Don’t Know When Immigrants Became The Enemy’

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice spoke on a variety of topics in front of a crowd at Duke University Tuesday night, offering a particular criticism of the nation’s stance on immigration.

“That immigrant culture that has renewed us … has been at the core of our strength,” she said, according to the The Raleigh News & Observer. “I don’t know when immigrants became the enemy.”

Rice has long lamented the Bush administration’s failure to address comprehensive immigration reform during two terms in office, a disappointment that she reportedly reiterated on Tuesday.

Those are hard words to reconcile against the GOP hate for immigrants.  Betcha AZ Jan Brewer would give her a stern finger pointing.

  5. Offshore drilling fees are financing the purchase of $41.6 million worth of new national forest lands in 15 states.

Now, turning to our Republican friends who like to call President Obama a communist.

Which communist country cracks down on unions and labor rights, just like Republicans? Answer-China

    http://factsanddetails.com/chi

Which communist country fears intellectuals and the educated…remember Santorum and Romney dissing and scoffing the elitist college educated?

It’s quite amazing really, when comparing Republican positions in the U.S. to those in communist China, which values they share:

    1. Regardless of the events directly resulting in the shot that killed Martin, Zimmerman’s actions leading up to that fatal moment went beyond his duties as a neighborhood watchman, and the facts need to come out at a trial.

I’m glad to hear that he turned himself in; I can’t imagine the trauma of shooting a kid and killing him.

      1. This one needs to be tried in a court of law and no longer in the court of public opinion.

That said, if it weren’t for the amount of public attention this received, I think it’s highly improbable that Zimmerman would have ever been charged with a damn thing. I thank the Martin family, the millions that signed the petition, the blogs and the MSM for keeping the heat on Sanford for 45 days and especially Governor Scott for appointing Special Prosecutor Corey.

          1. Probably? Such an awful governor, his approval tanked almost immediately after he took office when Floridians seemed to have a collective “who knew who this guy really is?” moment.

          2. Rick Scott is the textbook example of conservatives creating self-fulfilling prophesies on how government is wasteful and corrupt.  He led his company to defraud the Federal government of hundreds of millions of dollars before becoming governor – and yet he walked away with millions from the company thanks to a golden parachute.  I still can’t believe Floridians chose this asshat.

            1. early in his term, neither can they.  Too bad the Dems put up such a weak opponent in that election.  Classic low info voters thinking a conservative would be good for the state economy just because… aren’t they always?  Yeah, right.
