Rep. Ken Buck, as readers know, keeps a reportedly nonfunctional AR-15 style assault rifle in his office–at least we hope it’s not ready to lock and load, along with the Washington, D.C. attorney general’s office and the U.S. Capitol Police! Either way, it was only a matter of time before Rep.-elect Lauren “Q*Bert” Boebert arrived for her exclusive Second Amendment photo-op, joining former Rep. Trey Gowdy and other lucky “friends of Ken.” Who knows? Maybe Rep.-elect Boebert even gets a key to the trigger lock.
There’s an extremely unlikely movie plot where this all comes together to save the world. Sure.
But in reality, it’s just another reminder that America’s unhealthy gun fetish is genderless.
