We’re kicking off the final week of the most important election season of our lives. Here in Colorado and across the nation, record-setting early voter turnout is building anticipation of an historic landslide victory for progressives. Despite persistent worries that the President of the United States might not accept the results, if voters continue to show up through Election Day in the numbers we’re seeing, that won’t matter. The best way we have to ensure a peaceful transfer of power is for the margin of victory to be unequivocal.
With your help, Colorado is doing our part to make Election Night an easy call.
Still got your mail ballot, or know someone who does? Don’t fly blind down the ballot! Take a few moments to learn about the candidates running in Colorado, from the presidential race to county commissioners, plus all eleven statewide ballot measures, with the Progressive Voters Guide. Even if you know how you’re voting at the top of the ticket, sorting out the less-publicized choices is extremely important. Remember, today’s state legislators and county commissioners are tomorrow’s Governors and Senators!
Don’t have a mail ballot? Today is the last day to request one by mail. If you miss that deadline, you’re not out of options–in Colorado, you can register to vote all the way through Election Day. Visit GoVoteColorado.com to register to vote, request a mail ballot, or find a voter drop box or in-person voter service center.
We’re in the home stretch of this election season, and after four long and divisive years we’re very hopeful that a better future is on the horizon. In this final week, find as many ways to make a difference as you can, and look back on November 4th knowing you did all you could:
