Now my question becomes is this mis-information designed to prop up right wing governments or paramilitary organizations that traffic through right wing sources?
Mexican drug-trafficking organizations and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) agreed to a deal in mid-2007 to bypass gangs that had previously shipped the drugs to the Mexican cartels in order to increase their profits, according to a letter written by deceased FARC leader Raul Reyes..

I couldn’t understand your post.
Can you flesh this out some more for me, since I don’t follow this issue ?
.
The story of why Mexico replaced Columbia as the primary muscle in the drug trade is long.
In Columbia, the Goernment, right wing paramilitaries (former army soldiers), and the FARC (the commuists) control pretty much 1/3 a piece of the agricultural land in Columbia.
FARC is linked also to Chavez, and communists in Bolivia.
Anyway, in Mexico at leaaast 5 states are held pretty much by the cartels. The Mexican military has done police activity
since 2005.
At least 6000 murdeers a year occur due to this war, and that figureis quite a low estimate.
The issue impacts DEnver. The drugs on the street here come through Mexico.
The US prison gangs, and ganggs in general are the distribution network.
This war effects immigration and should be thought about in comprehemsive immigration reform.
So my question as to wether this is real or right wing propaganda is legitimate.
Guns go south from the USA to the cartels.
EFforts to stop this will hit many find lobbying resistance as the gun lobby likes its profits (legal or not)
The failed ddrug war has had billions pumped into it and has basically been lost.
Fresh perspectives on breaking the cartels needs attention.
In my opinion, the best way is to find someway to overturn prohibition. It maks products legal, reduces the price of the commodity and removed the economic insentivie to traffic.
I could go on. A good history of Columbia is “One Years of Solitufe.’ or Cien Anos de solidad.
besides my usual horrible typing on my jacked up key board. It is 100 years of Solitude.
The circumvented point is that drug traffic happens on both the left and right wings.
The odd game has US support to interdict some drugs, while maintianing covert partenrships with groups that also run drugs.
The media fails to focus on the real issue of US demand, and how to lower the incentive for organzied groups to continue this behavior.
