Thanksgiving is a great American holiday.  It is a time to remember that in spite of all the annoyances, all the problems, all the pain and difficulties in the world, and in our own lives, most of us still have it pretty good.  

Having traveled quite a bit around the globe, I understand that even scratching by in the middle class I sit at the top of the global wealth pyramid. I do have health care.  I don’t go hungry. I am gainfully (self) employed.  I have a great family and friends that mean the world to me.

For all these things I am grateful.  And for you.

I thank ColoradoPols for putting this forum together and for managing it with a light touch.

I thank the posters–those with whom I agree and those with whom I don’t.

Above all, I believe in community and the necessity to work together to get to a better place. Gratitude, and its partner respect, help to bind us, one to another, to get the job done.

Really, it has been a pleasure being Front Page Editor these past several months, and engaging you all in the back and forth, the snark, and the occasional gem of real wisdom and insight.

So have a great holiday.  And thanks.
