Lauren Boebert Shares Deep Thoughts On "Demonic" Aliens

As Politico reports, as part of the Trump administration’s determined campaign to talk about anything other than the Epstein files, the Iran quagmire, or the sputtering American economy, today the Pentagon began releasing documents related to unidentified flying objects (UFOs), a subject of perennial bipartisan curiosity:

A new website made public Friday by the Defense Department — war.gov/UFO — is replete with a rotating carousel of black-and-white images of unidentified aerial phenomena. Viewers can sift through dozens of files containing detailed information on alleged UFO sightings.

Statements from several government officials suggested this was merely the first tranche of releases, and that more UFO files would be declassified and released at a later date…

The government has long collected information on UFOs, including through the Pentagon’s Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program study that began nearly two decades ago. While Americans regularly connect sightings to life outside of earth, experts also often suggest more terrestrial explanations, including advanced next-generation technologies from America’s geopolitical rivals.

The Trump administration took no position on Friday, saying they were allowing Americans to make up their own minds…

Though from what we can see no definitive proof of aliens landing in the Nevada desert or anywhere else to meet with humanity is contained in the files released by the Pentagon today, Colorado’s conspiracy-conscious congresscritter Rep. Lauren “Q*Bert” Boebert has as readers know some very complex views on the subject of aliens she’s been waiting to get off her chest. And voters of Colorado’s Fourth Congressional District, today was the day!

BOEBERT: God is the creator of the universe. He’s never not going to create. So it’s always been something in my mind to say, well, how can we be the only ones? Like, God’s not going to stop creating just with us.

But the more I look into this, the more I see the Old Testament and what was told to us there of fallen angels and Nephilim. I mean, this is in the Bible. There’s nothing that says that fallen angels, that Nephilim just disappeared.

And so I believe that this could be an aspect of it. You know, there are things that we have seen that could resemble portals. And, you know, I mean, this is we serve an infinite God, a God of the universe.

And to say that this is the only realm is ignorant. And so what I’ve seen, I wouldn’t, you know, put it as, you know, Marvin the Martian kind of thing. But I do believe that this is more spiritual.

And if you really want to go there, demonic.

Boebert isn’t the only top Republican official who seems to think that the aliens who may or may not be among us are in fact biblical canonical demons of the horned and pointy-tailed sort. Vice President JD Vance describes aliens as “Celestial beings who fly around” and “do weird things to people,” which apparently meets the definition of demonic well enough for him. For his part, Boebert’s close friend Matt “Giggity” Gaetz thinks the government is forcibly breeding aliens with human women because, well, that is the direction Matt Gaetz’s conspiracy theories naturally flow. Presumably Boebert does not endorse this activity, though it appears no one has yet thought to ask.

Like all next-level phenomena that are until explained as Arthur C. Clarke famously observed indistinguishable from magic, people tend to see in the UFO mystery whatever they want to see. In the above cases, what they imagine says more about themselves.
