Gabe Evans Takes Boulder Attack Response to Disgusting New Level

House Assistant Minority Leader Joe Neguse

Colorado lawmakers in Congress on Thursday introduced a bipartisan resolution related to last weekend’s antisemitic attack on a group of Jewish demonstrators in Boulder. That resolution, which you can read in full HERE, was signed by all but two members of Colorado’s Congressional delegation.

According to a press release from the office of Rep. Joe Neguse (D-Boulderish):

Congressman Joe Neguse and Senator Michael Bennet, both of whom represent the people of Boulder, Colorado in the United States Congress, introduced a bipartisan resolution condemning the horrific and antisemitic act of terror that took place on the Pearl Street Mall on the afternoon of Sunday, June 1st. It was co-signed by Senator John Hickenlooper and Representatives Dianna DeGette, Brittany Pettersen, Jason Crow, Jeff Hurd, and Jeff Crank.

The resolution denounces the scourge of antisemitism that has metastasized across the country, citing a disturbing rise in violent and hateful attacks against Jewish Americans—including the horrific assault on 15 Coloradans who had gathered for a peaceful march calling for the release of Israeli hostages in Gaza. It also calls upon the American people to stand united in supporting the victims and their families, as the community continues to promote peace and safety.

“Our community is reeling. The horrific rise of violence toward our Jewish brothers and sisters must be stopped,” said Congressman Neguse. “That’s why we are calling on lawmakers from across Congress to join us in expressing their support for the 15 victims of Sunday’s act of terror and to stay united in the fight to stop the rise of antisemitism, which has shamefully become far too prevalent across our country.”

Rep. Gabe Evans would rather stand with Rep. Lauren Boebert than the rest of his Colorado colleagues

Colorado Republican Reps. Lauren Boebert and Gabe Evans refused to sign on to this resolution. For whatever reason, Boebert traditionally doesn’t respond to requests to join resolutions like this. But for Evans, ignoring calls to add his name to the resolution was conspicuously bizarre. Why oppose a resolution that denounces antisemitism and senseless violence in Colorado?

Well, because Gabe Evans would rather be a craven partisan asshole than anything else.

Today, Evans introduced his own resolution, one that focuses on fanning the flames of controversy surrounding illegal immigration policies. Evans has been busy this week grandstanding on the idea that the Boulder attack happened because Colorado refuses to work with federal immigration officials. That claim proved to be absolutely untrue — Colorado’s gun safety regulations prevented the attacker from buying a firearm and triggered an automatic notification to federal immigration officials.

But facts aren’t important to Evans. He ducked the resolution supported by most of his Colorado colleagues in order to introduce his own resolution that focuses less on condemning violence and antisemitism in favor of ranting about lax enforcement of illegal immigration. Here’s the relevant section from the Evans resolution:

It’s important to note here that there is nothing preventing Evans from signing his name to both resolutions. What Evans decided, instead, was that it was more important to be a partisan asshole than to condemn antisemitic violence.

We’ve learned a lot about the freshman Congressman from Ft. Lupton in his first few months in office. What stands out most is this: If it is possible to do the wrong thing in any scenario, Evans is damn well going to find a way.

  1. Gutless Gabe decides to rub elbows with Bobo and fan the flames that politicize a tragedy.  No wonder the Democratic primary to take him on is so busy.

  2. Ol' Gabe is already peppering YouTube with a campaign commercial, and it's a hoot. All Dems want to do is stonewall President Trump, ya see, while Gabe supports the president by backing the Blowies for Billionaires Act, which is chockful of tax cuts that put money back in YOUR POCKET!

The sky is blue, water is wet, pigs and politicians are big fat liars. Gabe being a politician and an ex-oinker (and, of course, a massive piece of shit), we're sure to get a veritable firehose of bullshit from him as he seeks to keep his current gig.
