FOX31’s Eli Stokols:
Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney will campaign this Sunday in Pueblo, FOX31 Denver is first to report.
Romney, who has lost ground to President Barack Obama in a number of national and swing state polls this week, will make his first trip to Colorado since before the Republican National Convention last month…
After making his first campaign stops earlier this year in reliably red parts of this critical state, Romney has been stumping of late in the Denver suburbs, the critical bellwether counties in this swing state.
Pueblo, however, is a Democratic stronghold, home to a large Latino population and a Vestas plant that just laid off 90 employees. [Pols emphasis]
Get your tickets here. As we alluded to in the title, the Sunday afternoon time slot this time of year for any campaign stop on the Front Range is typically unavailable–bye weeks and Monday Night Football outings for our Denver Broncos notwithstanding. Fortunately, Peyton Manning and the boys are playing the Atlanta Falcons Monday night, clearing Sunday schedules.
Unfortunately for Mitt Romney, that includes Pueblo Democrats and Vestas employees.
