Another Peaceful Transfer of Power Complete

  • by: Colorado Pols

We have just finished configuring the accounts for our two new front page guest editors for the second half of 2011, ProgressiveCowgirl and c rork, who begin their terms in office today following their election victories last month. It’s a great privilege to live in a blog, like our country, where leadership can transition without rebellion and bloodshed.

Many thanks again to our outgoing front page guest editors MADCO and Aristotle, for their great work over the last six months, and let’s give our new editors a warm welcome.

Maybe not flamewar “warm,” though, give them a few days to settle in!

    1. People can always forge a birth certificate but a photo…oh that’s right, there’s Photoshop.  Never mind!

      P.S.  Thanks Madco and Aristotle.

           Welcome Cowgirl and C rork.

          1. But the last thing we need is a Twitpic scandal on the first day of my administration. Well, technically FBpic. (And, for the record, it’s G-rated, unless you’re a cow with Victorian morals.)

        1. But I’ll consider it a compliment on my presidential qualities. u_u

Now where’s my diary from you to try out that shiny new promote button on?

        1. I want you as my personal PR person.

(And no, this is a Pols exclusive, I didn’t post it on Facebook. I’m semi-nonymous. If you know me you know this is me, if you know a lot of my friends you can figure it out, but if you don’t know me at all you most likely won’t find my FB.)

        1. Sometimes I think I take this persona a LITTLE too seriously. Then I realize my real-life hat is even more pink than that one and remember I’m just basically a silly person.

          1. Nah, its just serious enough. Wait, isn’t there supposed to be another FPE? Oh yeah, five days in and we still haven’t seen slacker Rork’s birth cert. Shame!

        1. You know as well as we do where the REAL business happens. You’re a former FPE. Hell, I think you’re the one who left this gold plated cigar box in the back room.

            1. They most certainly did not tell me how to receive those. Good thing you’ve got my back. Can I arrange to just have them sent to RP’s vet? I think RP loves the vet and wants her to have a new Lexus.

              1. … um, what checks? [hides something inside coat pocket, coughs into fist]. I do not know what you are talking about. I received no checks. Nope. I’m certainly not getting any now. No ma’am. Ayup.

  1. Peaceful? You call that peaceful?

The cyber attacks, the wiretap surveillance, the extraordinary renditions, the casualties (H-man? — reportedly held captive;  Laughing Boy? — missing in action;  BJ? — mentally incapacitated; . . .)  I suppose you’ve already forgotten all the drone strikes, for God’s sake?

“Meet the new boss — same as the old boss!”

    1. But we don’t use the “subject promote” feature because we haven’t ever created a running topic list. For all we know, your computer might explode if you use “subject promote.”

      1. Now, how about a “signature edit” feature? I feel the need to abuse my power to make some improvements on Ali’s down there. 😉
