At Least He's Not Your State Senator

Does this look like a guy who would be accused of sexual harassment? Okay, maybe don’t answer that.

In another edition of our long-running series, “At Least They’re Not Your Legislator,” we take you to Michigan, where a Republican State Senator is facing multiple accusations of sexual harassment…including one instance that was particularly ill-timed.

As The Detroit Free Press reports:

An internal investigation of state Sen. Peter Lucido, conducted after several women lodged sexual harassment complaints against him, has concluded that the Shelby Township Republican engaged in “inappropriate workplace behavior.”

“The investigation concluded that Sen. Lucido’s conduct demonstrates an unfortunate pattern of behavior that requires little to no interpretation to be understood as inappropriate workplace behavior,” the investigators concluded in a report turned over to Senate leadership.

As a result of the report, Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey, R-Clarklake, has removed Lucido from the Advice and Consent committee, where he served as chairman, and ordered the Macomb County lawmaker to participate in additional workplace training. [Pols emphasis]

Sadly, as Colorado politicos are all too familiar, sexual harassment in state legislatures is a pervasive problem. But Michigan State Sen. Peter Lucido took his harassment a step further; he’ll be going through another workplace training in part because he was sexually harassing women during a sensitivity training about workplace harassment:

Via Metro Times.

    1. Matt Gaetz is running a damn close second for wearing a gas mask to mock the Coronavirus, and now he's in quarantine for….Coronavirus. You do have to put some effort into it !
