It is getting down to the wire in some hot and crazy primary races.
It’s a veritable three-ring circus with cheats, grafters, Pat Boone, the ‘Cowboy Colonel’, and RINOS and bicycles and a cadre of shilly clowns in Three Stoogesque mayhem, while the ‘Founding Fathers’ sit nearby having a Tea Party that threatens to disrupt the whole affair.
Of course many, I hope most, of us see it both more and less seriously than what all that is meant to imply. More seriously because there are real choices in important races.
Less seriously because it is not worth slurring friends and harming reputations. Besides it will all be over in 3 days. So I hope you have either mailed in your ballot or will be dropping it off by Tuesday.
This is not meant as a forum for some of ours’ favorite topic and perhaps obsession. That sucked me in also when I only wanted to dance on its edge.
So consider this diary a place to to make your calls, under what strange turn of events betwixt now and then. And/Or comment on your plans in the final lap.
