While you’re trying to formulate an argument in that regard, consider this story today from Ailia Zehra of The Hill newspaper:

Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-N.Y.) introduced a bill Friday that would establish President Trump’s birthday, June 14, as a public holiday.

The Trump’s Birthday and Flag Day Holiday Establishment Act proposes the recognition of both Trump’s birthday and Flag Day, celebrated on June 14, as federal public holidays.

“Just as George Washington’s birthday is codified as a federal holiday, President Trump’s birthday should also be celebrated to recognize him as the founder of America’s Golden Age,” Tenney wrote on the social platform X on Monday.

Absurd? You bet!

Unusual? Sadly…no.

As Zehra continues for The Hill:

Last month, Rep. Addison McDowell (R-N.C.) introduced legislation to rename Washington Dulles International Airport after Trump.

McDowell proposed the bill alongside Reps. Guy Reschenthaler (R-Pa.), Brian Jack (R-Ga.), Riley Moore (R-W.Va.) and Brandon Gill (R-Texas).

Gah!

But wait, there’s more!

Rep. Buddy Carter (R-Ga.) also introduced a new bill last week that proposes renaming Greenland to “Red, White, and Blueland,” as President Trump seeks to acquire the island territory.

Other than McDowell’s bill to rename Dulles International Airport, the other two Trump ass-kissing bills do not yet have additional sponsors.

Expect Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert to jump onboard of one or all of these bills in 3…2…1…
