Is There Any Urban Myth Heidi Ganahl Won't Believe?

  •
  • by: Colorado Pols

Over at Republican gubernatorial candidate Hiedi Heidi Ganahl’s Facebook page, where the supportive comments over Ganahl’s campaign against the menace of “furries” clawing and hissing their way through the hallways of Colorado public schools are still flowing fast and furious, a whole new moral panic is taking shape over “pro-pedophilia” posters allegedly going up “all over” Denver:

A closer look:

Ordinarily a candidate wouldn’t bear any responsibility for unsourced claims posted as comments to their social media pages, but in this case Ganahl saw fit to personally respond with a supportive angry emoticon:

Unfortunately, just like the misbegotten “furry panic” that Ganahl refused against all pleading even from friends to let die, a brief bit of Googling could have saved Ganahl a great deal of embarrassment.

Because unless actor and leading right-wing Twitter blowhard James Woods time-traveled to Denver in the fall of 2022 and took this photo back with him to July of 2018, Ganahl and her excited supporters are being needlessly terrorized once again. This poster was allegedly found somewhere in Oregon over four years ago, and enjoyed a grand tour around conservative social media before settling into the “4chan meme stash” for future periodic recycling. The true origins were never verified, but it’s widely believed to have been a “false flag” prank meant to discredit the LGBTQ+ community.

And now it’s what Heidi Ganahl wants to talk about after the “furries!”

One awful parody to the next, folks. It truly is Ganahl’s campaign in a nutshell.
