Good morning.
Americas' Mayor seems to have provided the smoking gun.
Housekeeping question. Is the time stamp on our posts a bit off, or was that just really good weed?
Checking..
Yep.
Don’t leave us in suspense! Yep the timestamp or yep the weed?
Never mind. It's the timestamp
If we're all doing the time warp again, can we just go big and jump to the left ….all the way back to 2016?
Isn't that rather like asking a genie to go back to the seconds before the avalanche hit you instead of wishing to go back before it began? There was at least eight years of the present state of affairs building up if not 30 years.
The way we were hit was almost as bad as it could have been. We were hit with the metaphorical rock being carried by the snow. In order to avoid this we would have to go back to before that crook Yeltsin appointed Putin and figure out how to help Russia avoid being looted. Plus do something about media in America and the regulatory capture of the whole of the USA.
I'm afraid that on New Year's Eve this year I'll be wishing to repeat 2019 rather than facing what portends to be a truly awful 2020 for America.
It's going to be an interesting day …
And plans for next week …
The mooring ropes are about to get crowded…😊
And just in case you are worried … good news. Colorado apparently has TWO sites prepared for … well, just about anything from "deadly epidemics, economic collapse, nuclear war or political upheaval."
While the article focuses on the West Virginia site, it also notes " The organization also has two sites in Colorado. It’s working to set up a fourth in Wisconsin. The motto: “Prepare for the Worst — Enjoy the Present.”
At Fortitude Ranch, the cabin is for vacationing. The shelters are for surviving.
Anyone not 'worried' is not paying attention. I'm less worried because my cousin has assured me I am named in the rapture policy for the family.
Sure hunting, but I'd be more worried about recreating agriculture than having all the weaponry. And other basic life skills that would be required without modern tech.
Water purification, first aid, carpentry, foraging, how to play the pan flute,
We're far too busy practicing no-tech basic life skills down on the farm to concern ourselves with the rapture thingy…
“Incredible”….is that self assessment or was there polling involved??
🤗🥴
Also, how do the free range chickens come into this?
Millions of incredibly satisfied free-range chickens can’t be wrong??? . . .
Right? And if you haven't yet tried a dozen eggs from Vital Farms you have no idea what you've been missing!
Have you seen the "bite me" message they aimed at Sec.Perdue?
No…and my google machine didn't bring anything up 🙁
"There is NOTHING inevitable about factory farms," tweeted land organizer Johanna Rupprecht. "There is NOTHING inevitable about the big getting bigger and the small getting pushed out. These things have happened because policy choices have been made that not just allowed but heavily subsidized and promoted them."

Fantastic. Yes…these are outcomes driven by monied interests every five years via the Farm Bill. There is nothing happenstance about the gutting of our rural landscape. It is purposeful. It is expected.
LOL. I'm pretty sure this isn't a scientific poll. Unless this is more like a Cold Turkey thing (where the town tried to give up cigarettes for thirty days and the most-oft chosen alternative activity was sex ). I mean, we all dream of the day we could go 30 days without needing another Electoral College hostage payment.
As to the eternal question of….we live by the rule "what happens in the coop stays in the coop"
Fear not, brave patriots. We have a beautiful agreement (show me the candy before I get in the van) You're never seen anything like this (trust me, until you came along…) You'll be working overtime (I can’t wait to work 20 hour days to make up for what you’ve cost me the last two years).
It’s really unfortunate there isn’t a governmental body that could do something about this
Yeah. It's not like Ms. Lindsey has any power to put a check on Trump when it comes to this.
Heard a blurb that Crisanta Duran is ending her campaign.
Also just heard Alice Madden's ending her Senate campaign. Not surprised on either front, but sort of sad about Madden, who's principled and competent.
I too like Madden. I hope she stays involved somehow.
Perhaps if Hick really doesn't like the Senate and quits after the first year, Polis can appoint her to the vacancy. Or if Warren selects Thurston as her running mate and they win, the governor can appoint her to his seat.
I'm getting ready to hop on the Amy Klobuchar bandwagon.
She had an excellent LGBTQ town hall last night on CNN. She's one of the few that I had the stomach to listen to. Biden was just old and pathetic. My heart is still with Mayor Pete, but I don't think this is his year — run and win an Indiana Senate seat and then we'll talk.
I think Amy Klobuchar is the remaining "top ten" candidate who supports progressive, but not radical, ideas. She has the prosecutor chops. She has the Midwest cred. She's not too young or old. I think she could garner the votes of disaffected R's and Independents looking to vote for someone other than Trump. Of course, she's a long shot at this time, (my auto correct keeps warning me about the spelling of "Klobuchar") but maybe she can garner Iowa support and parlay that to NH.
Bill Maher tonight very nearly anointed Amy Klobuchar as the dark horse candidate in the Dem primary race.
Itlduso.
Who cares about Bill Maher?
amy is a good woman and I've sent her money, as I also did with Harris and Warren.
but right now, Warren is kicking Trump's butt.
Amy is actually trailing that idiot Yang in most polls.
Yes, she needs to put all her chips in Iowa and at least finish in the top three there.
policy wise, she is infinitely better than Warren. But Elizabeth is raising Mon ey and kicking butt.
I too sent Amy money and I too am disappointed with her polling numbers. She is smart, she is competent and she takes sane and rational public policy positions.
Unfortunately, she is not flamboyant making unrealistic promises or promising to hand out a lot of free stuff which is what moves poll numbers. (Andrew Yang's $1,000 per month checks for all adults come to mind.)
Amy should put all her chips in Iowa. But her only real chance is if Biden falters and has to drop out.

Wow! Trump heard his master's voice and didn't waste any time obeying:
Maybe Pear or Moddy can confirm the rumor mill this morning but I was told Rudy's bffs, in addition to bribing officials in California and Nevada for marijuana licenses, contributed to Mike Coffman while they were on their spending spree.
Factbox: Who are the Giuliani associates charged with trying to influence U.S. elections?
No longer a rumor. Marianne has the scoop.
no way
as former AG who knew about purging voter rolls and sticking to answers , Mike would have immediately reported a foreign contact of this nature
Way.
You're mixing up your Coffmans, buttercup. Mike served as state treasurer and secretary of state, his ex was AG. But sure, as former military the last half of your statement could well be correct. Can we find a rogue staffer to blame?
Oh, yeah
Secretary of State who purged voter rolls… and military … still should have known those guys were not from Colorado or Aurora
You can also differentiate between the two Coffmans by their heights…..
"hear closed-door testimony" pisses me off.
Of course they did. Maybe someone could ask Cory about this.

Barr drops in to see Rupert when he's in town and next thing you know… (shall we start an over/under on Chris Wallace?)
Gotta’ wonder what the “no pro quo” on this deal’s (not) gonna’ be? . . .
. . . Nice little media empire you gots here Rupert. Donnie Twoscoops tells me he tinks it’d sure be an awful shame if sumtin’ ever happuns to it; awful awful shame he says . . . .
I was googling about Smith last night, and his feud with Fixed News goes all the way back to '16. You may be right about Wallace. He's done some take-no-prisoners interviews with members of the Sad-ministration on the network. That has not endeared him to the people who write his paycheck.
My guess is that the Barr -Murdoch visit was about the Fox polls that show growing public support for impeachment. You know how $rump feels about his “ratings”.
Still f*cking outrageous that the government’s top lawyer is pressuring a news network about its news.
I agree, it would be beyond outrageous if he was pressuring a news network . . .
. . . but, instead he chose Murdock’s FOX.
It’s more like an evil karma reach around.
