Front Page Guest Editor Elections Next Week

  •
  • by: Colorado Pols

(Get those nominations submitted in the comments section! Voting starts on Monday – promoted by Colorado Pols)

We’d like to begin by thanking our front page guest editors for the first half of 2010, Middle of the Road and Danny the Red (hair), for their valued contributions over the past few months. This is the most widely read and discussed political blog in Colorado because of our matchless community of politically astute readers–and our guest editors are the best of the best.

We will be holding an election for two new front-page guest editors next Monday, June 21st. The new editors will start on July 1st, and barring anything unexpected will hold their positions through the end of 2010–at which time we’ll have another election. We’ll conduct one poll of nominees, and the top two finishers from that poll will win coveted front page editor spots for the rest of this critical election year. And naturally, our current editors are automatically renominated unless they decline, in keeping with our general view on the deleterious effects of term limits.

To learn more about the privileges and expectations of our guest editors, read this post, and feel free to ask questions.

Use this thread to nominate candidates–you’re free to nominate yourself, of course, and as always we are not aware of any restrictions on campaign spending. Later this week, we will finalize the list of nominees, and explain new procedures for voting intended to prevent abuse.
