BREAKING: GOP Senators Urge White House to Dump Puzder

UPDATE: As CBS News reports, Puzder is expected to withdraw from consideration for Labor Secretary.

—–

As CNN reports:

Top Senate Republicans have urged the White House to withdraw the Andrew Puzder nomination for labor secretary, a senior GOP source said, adding there are four firm Republican no votes and possibly up to 12.

Puzder needs at least 50 votes to pass with the tie-breaking vote of Vice President Mike Pence, and Republicans only hold control of 52 seats.

Puzder, the CEO of the company that owns the Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr. fast food chains, has faced fierce opposition mostly from Democrats in part related to his position on labor issues as well as the fact that he employed an undocumented housekeeper.

  1. I ate my last meal, and I mean my final meal, at one of Puzders' joints when they charged me an extra buck just to use my debit card. One of my boycotted locations, even though my son likes to eat there.

    1. I have a couple debit cards, altho have never used them. They get their payment straight out of your bank account. Why would they charge an extra buck? Do they also charge for use of credit cards?

    2. They have good burgers, but treat their people like crap, and seemingly don't value their customers, either. Good riddance to the Pudzer.

I think I remember that Carls Jr also was a huge contributor to anti-abortion PACs.

I keep hoping Trump will run out of unsuitable, unqualified people for his cabinet, and accidentally hire someone experienced, moderate, and qualified?????
