No, you can’t have the $15 million you spent on Bob Schaffer back.

And let us all hope we get the old Mark Udall back – if so he could be a very strong Senator.
KMGH is reporting that Udall was getting 45% in Weld County. Salazar only got 42% when he ran 4 years ago.
Maybe this will be an incentive for Ken to move a little more to the left. But I wouldn’t count on it happening…
And the #’s in that Democratic county, Jeffo, look good: 55% for Udall. I call that the Ramey Johnson Effect!
Every ad against Mark Udall made it clear that he was a liberal. Everyone in the state “knows” Udall is a liberal. And the elected the liberal.
So clearly the people of Colorado wnat a liberal as their Senator.
Great to see Udall win. I do hope he votes the way he campaigned remembering that he represents the whole state and not just CD-2 or the most liberal branch of the party. Hopefully, this is the end of Wadhams reign here. Maybe after this clock cleaning, the state Repubs will do some soul-searching and start pushing back against the religious right that has taken over their party.
Bummer about 58, but overall delightful results. The nightmare is over.
Good call, Dickwad. Thank you!
He was a petulant whiny child. According to Schaffer he lost because Harry Reid and Chuck Schumer poured in more money for Udall than he had.
This guy doesn’t get it. Schaffer can join Beauprez on the “Bob no-clue express.” You guys had equal funding until the Republican party realized you were a lost cause and stopped throwing good money after bad. The voters didn’t want what you were selling.
…what a classy loser. Well, the loser part is correct, but the classy–not so much.
Pretty funny to hear a GOP’er complaining about “buying votes”. Waaaaaaaaah.
Union Udall, how full of thuggery will you be?
and then try a comeback that, you know, makes sense.
Udall sponsored the congressional bill that will strip workers of their right for a secret union vote.
Union Udall. It is snappy and appropriate.
…full of thuggery
I mean this:
I’m not the one who’s bitter about the election results, so that comeback is nonsense.
I think this does not fit with sour grapes. That’s when someone does not get what he wants and says something to the effect of, “Well those things were probably not as great as I thought.” I think Libertad is more of in a basic anger stage of grief since his party lost big and 2 out of 3 of his issues have gone down.
Thanks for that – I like using metaphors properly.
“No Grace In Victory or Defeat”
Grow up. What are you like seven? Name calling because your guy lost?
Oh and Fuck you Dick Wadhams.
..I invite all the Moron Conservatives who called me a traitor and a terrorist-lover for supporting Obama and Udall to go kindly go fuck themselves raw.
“Under certain circumstances, urgent circumstances, desperate circumstances, profanity provides a relief denied even to prayer.”
Mark Twain
I think Mark Udall owes some gratitude to Dick Wadhams for running a crappy campaign (did he do anything other than shout “Boulder liberal” every chance he got?) with a seriously flawed candidate.
And also a word of thanks to Tom Tancredo for energizing the Hispanic vote for Udall and Obama.
…the reason it’s Senator-Elect Mark Udall is an amazing Army Officer named Kyle Seibolt who walked in our campaign office in July, and proceeded to take away the Veteran and Military vote from the Repubs.
While Big Oil Bob hid behind 3rd party slime attacks, CPT Seibolt was travelling the state, talking to vets in their American Legion, VFW & DAV Halls, and listening to their stories and concerns.
So when the ad came out that highlighted Big Oil Bob’s shameful vet record, they put 2+2 together and voted for Mark.
There’s 471,000 veterans in this state, and counting their family members, that accounts for almost a million voters who normally register independent or Repub.
I can’t wait for the numbers to come back, but I’m pretty sure the Repubs are kicking themselves that we took away a demographic that they thought was theirs.
