The New York Times reports this fine Friday afternoon just in case you’re still paying attention:
Ghislaine Maxwell, the longtime associate of Jeffrey Epstein now serving a 20-year prison sentence for sexually exploiting and abusing teenage girls, has been moved from a federal prison in Florida to minimum-security prison camp in Texas, her lawyer said on Friday.
The move, which was reported earlier by The New York Sun, came about a week after Ms. Maxwell was interviewed over two days in prison in Tallahassee, Fla., about the Epstein case by Todd Blanche, the No. 2 official in the Justice Department and one of President Trump’s former lawyers.
Ms. Maxwell’s lawyer, David O. Markus, declined to comment on the reason for the move.
It’s tough to imagine what must be going through the heads of Republicans like Colorado’s Rep. Lauren Boebert who have spent the last six years or more fixated on the case of billionaire pedophile and former close friend of President Donald Trump Jeffrey Epstein, then were told by Trump a couple of weeks ago that if they intended to “keep talking” about Epstein he didn’t want them in the MAGA club anymore. The illusion that Trump is somehow on the honorable side of the Epstein case, despite the growing revelations of Trump’s suspicious familiarity with Epstein’s sex life and self-incriminating allegations from Trump that Epstein “stole” sex trafficking victim Virginia Giuffre from his employ, is getting harder to maintain with each passing day.
As the Austin American-Statesman reports, minimum-security Federal Prison Camp Bryan is where female white-collar criminals often go as a last stop before freedom:
“The only unusual thing is that you typically only go to a camp if you have just a couple years left,” [corrections officer Josh Lepird] said. “But if someone is a cooperating witness, they can request a lower security level.”
…With more programming access and certain freedoms, Lepird said, the Bryan camp is considered a plum spot to serve out a sentence.
“It’s one of the best prisons for anyone to go to,” he said. “When you hear people say ‘Club Fed,’ they’re talking about places like FPC Bryan.” [Pols emphasis]
In short, while the public is clamoring for more accountability against Epstein’s co-conspirators based on the expectation of a list we were told to expect for years and that nobody believes as we’re now told does not exist, Epstein’s convicted co-trafficker is getting her accommodations upgraded ahead of a possible pardon! There’s of course no way we can trust the word of Ghislaine Maxwell in any testimony about Epstein and Trump while Trump holds the power to set Maxwell free from prison with a signature. And if Trump does that, the only person who has been punished in any way for Epstein’s sex trafficking operation after Epstein’s suicide walks free.
That’s not how Q said this would end, folks.
