New Website: WheresMikeCoffman.com Attempts to Find Missing Congressman

Aurora Voters Ask Coffman to Put the Represent Back in Representative

Aurora – Since they can’t find Mike Coffman in Aurora, Aurora residents are now trying to find him on the Internet on www.wheresmikecoffman.com. The new website documents the multiple attempts members of Aurora’s 99% voters – workers, seniors, and students – have made to try and talk to Coffman about supporting them and not the richest 1%.

Their most recent efforts included following the money trail to a luau-themed fundraiser in Castle Rock last month (no word yet if guests from Hawaii had to show their birth certificates at the door). Mike Coffman pulled up, his driver rolled up the window, and then drove away. That’s Mike’s thing: he’s happy to talk to big donors, but the people of Aurora can get in line.

You can see the video here:

According to Aurora resident David Bouchey, an unemployed father of three, “We want to sit down and discuss the issues with Congressman Coffman. We want to ask him why he won’t support a bill that would raise the minimum wage; why he voted to give tax cuts to those making more than $250,000, and why he won’t help create an economy that works for everyone, not just the wealthiest.

We want him to talk to us, the working families in Aurora who are struggling and who he wants to represent.”

David was one of the activists from Colorado who went to the Republican National Convention to look for Mike, to see if they could get a moment of his time in between Coffman’s planned visits to cocktail parties and chit-chats with wealthy donors. Coffman announced he wasn’t going at last minute, and his spokesman openly laughed at the people trying to talk to Coffman about their struggles: “Hahahahaha. Don’t tell them that he’s not going to be there!”

So we can say in one case where Mike’s campaign is: making fun of the people he wants to work for. But on www.wheresmikecoffman.com we think it’s time Coffman put the Represent back in Representative!
