A man broke into Smith’s (Cool James, ladies love him) house the other night. Smith broke the man’s nose, jaw and some ribs while detaining him. Stupid dangerous, but kinda cool. Turns out the burglar has a history of violent crime and if convicted this will be his official third strike.
am quite familiar with Waits’ body of work. It’s quite the song! Thanks
Very much worth the time. Give it a listen.
I posted this song (song only version) about six months ago, but that was before this great new video came out.
was the first Tom Waits album I purchased. I’m kind of ashamed to admit it, but I really didn’t know much of anything about him, or become interested in him, until I saw him in the movie, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnasus.
Artists provide us mere mortals with the means to see worlds that we lack the talent to see for ourselves. Although I had heard this song, I could never have seen for myself Waits’ vision in this video. Tom Waits is an amazing artist.
Now Dee Snider and Twisted Sister have asked Ryan to cease and desist playing it! (The kid at the beginning of the video does bear a slight resemblance to the Vice Presidential candidate, actually.)

Most of their favorite bands can’t stand them or their policies. Two solutions present themselves:
Check with the band first to avoid ego bruising, titter inducing public smack downs from your faves.
Even easier? Stick with “Cat Scratch Fever”.
I was going to make a joke, but I’m honestly curious. I know campaign people not working on anything who would never allow that oversight, how is that possible?
restricted to playing Lee Greenwood and Ted Nugent songs…with a little Hank Jr. thrown in for the nausea factor.
John Ashcroft repertoire, too . . . lucky stiffs.
I forgot what a crooner he is.
As Libby would put it…”Let the Eagle Sore”
Another example of a guy who’s talent consists entirely of being born to the right father. What a worthless slob.
or, alternatively, may all your dreams come true:
