I think the shoes help.
The Polis one is fine and a good way to present for a popular successful incumbent.
The Caraveo one is perfect. Step 1 is to introduce her and it puts he across as a caring & effective person with an amazing backstory. At the end of it I wanted her as my kid's pediatrician (and they're now grown).
If she can cement that story, it becomes very hard for Kirkmeyer to run negative ads that don't backfire.
I agree. The Caraveo spot is convincing, effective, and people-oriented.
