You’d be a fool not to take note of this Washington Post report:
Mitt Romney’s campaign and the Republican National Committee significantly outraised President Obama’s reelection effort in May, pulling in $76.8 million to $60 million, according to the respective campaigns.
Both months are the best of the cycle for each candidate and reflect a ramping up with Romney’s status as the all-but-official GOP nominee and Obama’s boost in fundraising from both the gay community and a reported $15 million fundraiser hosted by actor George Clooney.
But Romney’s advantage reflects the reality that Republicans can quickly close the fundraising gap now that their primary is wrapped up. GOP super PACs have already been far outraising their Democratic counterparts, and the combination of that and the uptick in Romney’s fundraising is expected to lead to something close to a level financial playing field heading into November’s general election.
The report isn’t all bad news for President Barack Obama. Though outraised, this was still a record month for both candidates. Obama also boasts a higher percentage of small donors than Romney, considered one benchmark of “grassroots” as opposed to merely deep-pocketed support. And in any race there is a point of diminishing return–though the ceiling goes up with every presidential election, needless to say much higher than inflation.
But that’s the stuff they write below the headline “Romney Outraises Obama.”
As you know, a lot of people only read the headlines.

Good for you for not denying it. Way deep down, you know what’s coming.
what exactly?
Make no mistake, Obama will win this Nov; the GOP has went from “logical party” to “somewhat logical party” to “Bad Decision Party” to, uh…I don’t know what it is. The GOP has gone so far right and Colorado, among with most of the other swing states with the exception of Arizona, is slowly swinging left…like it or not.
But hey, believe in “Amercia”, all right?
It beats substance.
Why did Romney outraise Obama, with nearly the SAME percentage of small donors?
A-BOT demands substance while sporting a long record of providing virtually none himself.

I ask again. Are you going to answer?
waiting for the primary to resolve itself, and Romney benefited from this pent-up demand once he sealed the deal for good.
May was the first full month that Romney was fundraising under the joint committee with the RNC meaning there was an influx of wealthy donors maxing out their contributions for the general election. The real measure for Romney’s fundraising skills will be the summer months.

The break up of the Soviet Union could have been a horrible disaster. He handled it brilliantly. Plus he outlawed broccoli at the White House.
and also the 1st Iraq debacle, primarily by not going for Baghdad. But, he lied us into that war almost as much as his kid did. Kuwait, what a democracy, not a blue finger in the country

I am aghast at the obscene amount of money being spent on both sides in this presidential race. I wish it was going to be exclusively to promote the accomplishments, qualifications, plans, goals, and visions of each candidate… instead of the slams and smears we all know are coming down the pike. (sigh)
It’s an important job and we probably see more spent advertising beer every year. But I am with you wishing it was talking up each candidate rather than talking down the opponent.
