Leprechauns that are riding on pink unicorns.

I just wanted to see one diary on BennetPols that wasn’t bashing Buck.

  1. Back in reality, a U.S. Senate candidate named Ken Buck is self-destructing.

One correction, I don’t know for sure if you imagine yourself as the leprechaun riding the unicorn. The truth is, I probably don’t want to know.

    1. I believe you believe yourself when you say Buck is “self-destructing,” as if his switcheroo on abortion is going to benefit Bennet. Frustrate some of the True Believers? No doubt. But they will find some other reason to vote for Buck, including their own self-delusion!

I say thanks not for your insight into the race, but for your insight into your own insight.

  2. The appointed senators votes are so bad he can’t defend them. $hundreds of billions in new spending, 24 key votes, no defense

Legislating unemployment can be a real fother mucker.

    1. or maybe it’s just freedom of speech.

If this site’s political views makes you “bust a gut,” then you definitely should keep coming back, just like I keep stepping on that rake.

  3. Let me explain a few things you should already know:

    (1) This website is left of center and pro-Dem.

    (2) There’s no requirement or even plausible expectation that a blog should be “balanced”; if you, Barron, were to create a website or write a book, nobody could force you to include others’ liberal views. What’s great about American freedom of speech is that anyone can publish anything of any ideology.

    (3) So, implying it’s funny or improper for this blog to be populated by pro-Bennet, anti-Buck posts is stupid. I could troll conservative and Republican websites and whine, with not-that-clever nicknames, “you’re just ‘SharronAnglePols,'” etc. But that would be quite stupid of me to imply I’ve discovered something funny or improper in the fact that conservative websites tend to feature posts supporting conservatives.

    1. I don’t think there’s any inherent bias here. I think the editors probably have some perspective, but it’s a mixed bag of folks it seems to me. I remember, for instance, that pols was one of the first sites (to my annoyance) to leap to Buck’s defense his ethical scandal. Not so much for the scandal itself (indefensible, really) but for his effective handling of it.

      Basically, Pols reflects its readership.

While the right is making gains in the blogosphere, it’s still a largely left-leaning medium. So it’s not really that surprising that the biggest political blog in a state with relatively dem/gop parity would be left leaning by the nature of its audience and participants…
