Here’s a mail piece hitting in House District 47 right now, the Pueblo West and La Junta seat held by Republican Rep. Clarice Navarro:

It’s the hard shot on Rep. Navarro over her highly public support for GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump everybody’s been waiting for–support that has endured through scandals that have sent many of Navarro’s Republican colleagues at much higher levels running for the lifeboats.
With that said, what’s the state of play in this House race? It’s hard to say for sure. We can tell you that Navarro wasn’t considered a top-tier target by Democrats going into 2016, but her role as one of Trump’s principal Latina surrogates nationally has raised her profile–and perhaps, her vulnerability. Democrats spending money in HD-47 means they believe there’s an opportunity here to expand the map.
Will Rep. Navarro regret sticking her neck out for Donald Trump? We’ll know in a few days…
