Freshman Congressman Gabe Evans (R-Adams County) released a video on social media this week that was intended to repeat his name a lot and…well, that seems to be the only purpose.
You can view that video on the website formerly known as Twitter or watch it below, since trying to embed content from that hellsite is a nightmare.
Did you catch the part at the beginning where Kyle Clark of 9News says the name “Gabe Evans”? That part is particularly funny, because this is the rest of that sentence:
This is no accident, of course. Evans released a video of people saying his name because it would be significantly more difficult to put together a video of people saying anything positive about his first six weeks in Congress. Team Evans is no doubt aware of this, so they’re trying to pretend that “Gabe-ish” is getting a lot of media attention for…other reasons.
How long Gabe Evans can keep this up will be one of the more interesting subplots to watch over the next 6 months or so. Evans represents a district in CO-08 that he won by just about 2,500 votes; he’s widely considered to be one of the most vulnerable Republican incumbents in the country in 2026.
Talking out of one no side of your mouth isn’t normally the best way to win re-election.
