  1. I guess the most interesting question this morning is…Did CNN, by producing and airing last nights' FDFQ infomercial, get enough of Foxes' market share to justify the substantial damage to their reputation?

    1. I know Kaitlan Collins did a good job, but who at CNN had the bright idea to broadcast this shit in the first place? They knew very well what was going to happen, and it happened. He lied and lied and lied, and they gave him a platform and a megaphone to do so. Some of the audience even cheered him on. Dumb, dumb idea by CNN.

      1. welcome to the fantasy world of Chris Licht,

Addressing staff anger over the decision to host the New Hampshire event, the CNN chief executive, Chris Licht, saluted what he called a “masterful performance” by Kaitlan Collins, the anchor who attempted to cope with Trump’s lies and abusive comments in front of a raucous Republican audience.

On an internal call, Licht reportedly told staffers: “You do not have to like the former president’s answers, but you can’t say that we didn’t get them.

“Kaitlan pressed him again and again and made news … Made a lot of news, [and] that is our job.”

    McCain 2008: Country First
    Obama 2008/2012: Yes We Can/Forward
    Clinton 2016: Stronger Together
    Biden 2020: Build Back Better
    Trump 2024: I'm Your Retribution

    1. "I'm your retribution"???  Maybe??

But, with Ttump's reputation for leaning into his crimes, I think we could also see:

      "Fuck 'em. I did! — Ttump 2024"

  3. Trump goes on Truth Social rage bender.

Before a full 24 hours has passed, former President Donald Trump has posted nearly a dozen times on Truth Social about his $5 million defeat in the E. Jean Carroll sex-abuse verdict. Three of those posts are videos. Five are all-caps screeds. They’re filled with spin, lies and pure whoppers.

Using the same platform that sparked his defamation liabilities, Trump raged in the immediate wake of the civil judgment. He raged throughout the evening. He raged three times after midnight. Then, presumably after getting some sleep, Trump woke up in the morning and raged again.

    1. Between what he published in his social media posts AND his performance on CNN, I'm wondering when there will be the NEXT filing of a defamation case.

  4. Trump's behavior seems to be a lesson in dealing with bullies.

A bully will continue to bully until their allies find it unacceptable. It doesn't matter if the bully gets punished by authority figures or if the rest of their community finds the behavior unacceptable, it's the allies that count.

A bully's allies are either coat-tail riders who want to be bullies themselves but don't have the charisma or they are people who dislike the bully's behavior but are more afraid of being a victim of the bully than standing up for what they believe.

That's most the Republican party: Assholes and scared people.
