    1. Add inflation and 8.3% “official unemployment” on top of that and your waking to another very bad morning in America.

      Obama has been too extreme for America. Operating as a Divider versus a uniter has denied America the leadership she deserves.

      The Pew Foundation has found that 25% of 18-34 year old Americans have had to move back in with their parents.

      Unemployment for 18-29 year olds is 12.3%. Clearly its not a good morning in America when our national debt is unsustainable.

      Right direction 29%, wrong track 69%. The numbers tell the story that Obama has been extremely awful for Americans.

      1. Obama was handed a shit sandwich on January 20th, 2009 and you can’t understand why it isn’t watercress on San Francisco sourdough by now?  With a Republcian full court press to block anything that’s good for the American people?

  4. There is a paper in Glenwood Springs that has a letter to the editor in it about this Agenda 21 thing.  Apparently it is everywhere and as close as Carbondale, thanks to one Ms. Scanton who is vigilant.  

    I have been noting that it is, indeed, everywhere including in the ‘birth control mandate’ being afflicted upon Evangelical ‘Colleges,’ or so we learn in The Hill, in comments (since we all know MSM itself is in the bag for the UN and NWO).  

    agree 100%. Another issue is Obama’s support of UN Agenda 21 which should be brought more into the open.  It is a terrifying fundamental change in america that we should oppose.

    By now you have undoubtedly heard of the sneaky and communistic plot (isn’t everything?!?) to take over our rural and particularly Red State communities though local zoning, trash collection, and school buses.

    This infarious duplicicative scheme is nothing but the machinations of the Manchurian Other occupying you-know-where.  Never have we seen such a desegradtion of our sacredest stuff that makes us American.

    Ensuring that our ladies among us is not exposed to those that think the things that doctors and liberals think, and DO, I believe we do agree is best.

    I hope that good patriots and such everywhere will join me in this cause to return our nation to sometime I think we all know well in history, although we might not be able to put an exact date on it.

  8. I know it’s still early on Sunday, but I feel we’re missing a character in the news.

    A tropical storm is hitting Florida the same time as the Republican National Convention! Where are the crazy Christians claiming Isaac is the embodiment of God’s Wrath at the Republican Party?

    1. See, God loves the Republicans. He has diverted the evil Isaac with his divine hands.  Or something.

      Just in taking a break from prepping.  Lots of stuff in the pool, lots coming into the house.  My big concern is rain drainage and the additional storm surge.  The latter is predicted to be pretty low, like 2 feet.  However, during Hurricane Donna, w/o any surge cuz it went east of us, the water in the bayou came up to the house minus a few inches.  

      So, I’m rather glad that God nudged Isaac into someone else’s backyard in the panhandle. Must be Dems there.

    But according to his 2010 tax return, when the Internal Revenue Service comes calling in April, Romney has a different answer: The presumptive GOP nominee reaps lucrative tax breaks for “active” participation in the private equity firm he founded, as well as a host of other investments.

    It seems Mr. Romney has yet to find a tax dodge he doesn’t like.

    These two different tax rates present a tempting opportunity: By applying deductions to the pool of money taxed at 35 percent, rather than the pool of money taxed at 15 percent, Romney can reduce his overall tax bill. The $805,367 in deductions from his partnerships all receive exactly this useful treatment — which may or may not be appropriate, depending on the nature of the expenses incurred.

    “What’s problematic is that these expenses are being deducted at the ordinary income tax rate of 35 percent, while the related income is mostly subject to the preferential long-term capital gain tax rate of 15 percent,” Wilkins said.

    Romney is the Artful Dodger — first Vietnam, and now taxes.
