This claim that corporation and money have the same rights and priviledges as people, is the most egregious nonsense in my lifetime.
You’re welcome, Sir Robin. I agree. The first time I heard it explained – by reading Thom Hartmann’s excellent book UNEQUAL PROTECTION – I just said “You’ve gotta be kidding me!”
The Denver OCCUPY THE COURT action on 1/20/2012 will start with a rally on the west steps of the State Capitol at 11:30 a.m., followed by a march down the 16th Street Mall, to the U.S. Court of Appeals building at 18th and Stout.
We picked a Friday for our nationwide action, because we didn’t want to hold a protest in front of empty buildings. We WANT the federal court judges to hear us! We want them to know how bad, and how damaging to our small “d” democracy, the Supreme Court’s Citizens United v. FEC decision truly is!
