  1. I don’t really believe in conspiracies nor coincidence.  So I don’t know what is going on.

Then you’d have to add Ivory Coast, and other places outside north Africa and the Mid- East, but mostly Asia.

Nothing in the Americas comes to mind.  But I’m sure that’s just a coincidence.

  2. Should we restore some of the K12 educaiton cuts?

How about some of the 20% we cut from higher ed?

I know- let’s restore at least a small part of the property tax exemption for seniors.

Nope- we need to restore the sales tax exemption on bull semen and cigarettes.  Killing those exemptions somehow killed jobs…. or something.

  3. Today, he announced that a Colorado birth certificate has race on it.  My kids, from the 70s, don’t have race designation on their long forms.

Now, we all can pretty much guess what boyles had on ritter and why ritter, et.al. wouldn’t go near him….but what the hell does boyles have on Hickenlooper that the gov is going to let him decide what is valid and what is not valid?

  4. After having had two people thrown out of legislative committee, Holbert proceeds to red-facedly chew out a very young Habitat for Humanity witness for testifying against HB 1290.  Word is that he then withdrew his sponsorship of another bill which he was running to help Habitat.  Can you say, vindictive, spiteful, controlling? They say there are no permanent friends or enemies in the legislative process.  i guess with Holbert its do what i want or i will take my toys and go home.  Bully!!!

    1. Just your run-of-the-mill Colorado Republican. Those folks who ran afoul of his Republicanism are lucky Mr. Right-to-Carrry kept his pistol holstered.

  5. From the VFW website:

The U.S. Senate declared March 30th “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day.” On March 30, 1973, U.S. troops withdrew from Vietnam under the terms of the Treaty of Paris.

Senator Richard Burr (R-N.C.), Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, introduced the legislation saying, “Our soldiers served honorably and bravely in Vietnam. Unfortunately, they arrived home to a country in political turmoil, and never received the recognition they deserve. By setting March 30th aside as a day to focus on our Vietnam veterans, we can show our unified gratitude for their service and the sacrifices that these veterans made on our behalf.”

VFW applauds this long-overdue tribute to honor the men and women who served bravely during the Vietnam War.

Still think that the only good ad up so far is the Michael Hancock I never gave up ad.  Not a fan but that ad might get him into the runoff and maybe even put him ahead of Romer. Good ads move votes.

The Hancock and strong while the other ads are only so much palaver.

    1. You clearly are (since those ads actually “move votes”). And apparently there’s a whole series of these negative ads. Boo, Hancock. Boo.

Meanwhile, what’s with the sweater she’s wearing! That’s gonna cost some votes…
