Colorado Politics on Hardball

  • by: botw

Chris Matthews played Hardball with Colorado politics.  He focused on both the Republican race for Governor and the Democratic race for Senate, and he interviewed Andrew Romanoff.

The first clip runs about 9 minutes total.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30…

Matthews first plays one of the more interesting parts of the Tancredo v. Wadhams radio show, then moves to an interview with Andrew Romanoff.  Romanoff is decidedly tongue-tied, though in fairness he got some interruptions from Matthews.

The second features the Buck birther takedown and is about 2 1/2 minutes long.

The Buck bit is at the very beginning.

  1. .

thnx 4 the link.  I didn’t realize how badly GE (signs Chris Matthews’ paycheck) felt threatened by Romanoff.  It appears that Chris wet himself during the ? WHAT ? ambush (can’t really call it an interview.)

Can we now expect an Olberman special comment or a Maddow investigation slamming Andrew ?

    < /snark>

I guarantee that the CIA is now conducting surveillance on AR, who is labeled by this White House as an enemy of the state.

    Obama = Nixon.

      1. I think Romanoff’s biggest flaw is the blanket statement that he dosen’t take pac money when he has in the past.  However, he isn’t taking pac money for this election – he should just qualify that.

As a guy on the fence, I just think Michael Bennet is way too cozy with the banks, industry the lobbyists, Anshutz, etc.  He has ran in those well connected circles for his whole life.

Could be wrong.  Just my two cents.  I know there are others here (Phoenix, David) who are on the fence as well, but I am leaning towards Romanoff.

        1. Michael Bennet has not run in those circles his whole life. That is a bunch of Romanoff-spewed bullshit. His Dad worked for government agencies and non-profits his whole life. His Mom taught English as a second language. They weren’t wealthy, I’m told. Not unlike Romanoff’s upbringing (his Dad was a judge and Mom a social worker.)Very similar up-bringings, in fact.

Bennet made his money as an adult. I give the Romanoff campaign credit for being incredibly effective at getting people to believe their fiction.

          1. Thanks for the wikipedia link.  His father ran USAID, was the president of NPR and worked in the Clinton White House.  His brother is editor of the atlantic.  He went to Yale, he was a capitol hill page, and I believe it says he worked at the attorney generals office before Anshutz.

Your comment takes the Jane Norton award for outsiders.  Who the hell do you think you are kidding ?

I am definitely 100% sure I am voting for Romanoff now.  You did your part for the Bennet campaign today – someone should thank you.

            1. was you thought Bennet had never worked for the gov’t nor known anyone who had and had no succesful family members?

Weird – I thought Campanoff was all about lifetime of service vs. never did anything.  Whatever works for you.

                1. You may be faulty, though I’ve no clue of it.

Vote, don’t vote, for whatever reason you choose.

I have a neighbor who is voting for Romanoff because, as he said, Romanoff is “Mr Corporate pro-Business guy”.  I didn’t understand his thinking and he chose not to elaborate- I reminded him of the Aug 10 deadline and that postage in this county is $0.61.

              1. .

demanding that these two who have no chance of winning drop out by Noon on Monday, 2 August ?

                Pat Schroeder ?

Maybe the guy on the robo-call I got today, some lawyer at Alston-Bird up to his hip in monkey business ?

Maybe the UN Millennium Fund – Bill Gates – Ted Turner consigliere guy who made billions for Anschutz by busting up the phone company ?  What’s he worth ?

                .

            2. The article says he and his family have had a lifetime of public service. Did you miss the part where his mother taught English as a second language and escpaed the Nazis, too?
