  1. “One thousand hamberders; build a wall.

       One thousand ham-ber-ders.

Take one down, pass it around,

       Nine hundred ninety-eleven hamberders; build a wall” . . .

(Trumpty Dumpty remix, waiting for FOX and Friends to begin)

    1. WOTD: "Who's afraid of AOC"

Adam Serwer of the Atlantic captured Ocasio-Cortez’s appeal to liberals well in a recent article. He wrote, “She is an effective avatar of the rising left: a young, working-class person of color who is fluent in the culture of the internet and, unusually for a Democrat with a national profile, not easily spooked by criticism from the right.”

  2. I had a little time at lunch today to pull the 2014 Colorado statewide race numbers and compare them to 2018. I think I will queue it up for posting tomorrow morning at 8am unless people want to see it sooner.

    1. I'll look forward to your take … Magellan Strategies had some raw numbers with that 2014/2018 comparison, but didn't push out anything from the final numbers, as far as I can tell.

  3. Hey, what party is this woman in?  I'd vote for them.

  4. Shout out to my teacher peeps in LA, striking for the first time in 30 years. Charter school educators have joined in. At issue: pay, class sizes, working conditions.

It will probably follow the path of most teacher strikes; the administration will plead poverty, then somehow come up with funds from the planned renovation of the district offices.
