Do not stonewall Karen E. Crummy for two years. She’ll throw a good, stiff investigative report in your face and make you squirm just when you thought you were on your way to bigger and better office.
Stephanie Villafuerte can’t be bothered to comment on whether she lied to FBI agents during their investigation of Cory Voorhis. Maybe she’ll talk about it after she’s confirmed as Colorado’s top federal prosecutor.
Crummy wasn’t satisfied with that above-the-law nonresponse, and the journalistic payback is in everybody’s inbox this morning. Phone records at the Denver DA’s office contradict Villafuerte’s statements to investigators.
Villafuerte has some explaining to do.
