Statewide Fundraising: AG, SOS, and Treasurer

We already ran through fundraising numbers for the candidates for Governor, so here’s a look at how the numbers stack up for the other three statewide constitutional offices…

Democrat Jena Griswold maintains a sizable cash-on-hand lead over her opponents, helped no doubt by her significant name ID advantage. Boulder District Attorney Michael Dougherty outperformed the entire field in Q1 on the surface, though about $150k came in the form of a personal loan. Attorneys Hetal Doshi and David Seligman did enough to keep the lights on, though Seligman’s low cash-on-hand number will make it difficult for him to make much of a dent with Primary voters entering the home stretch in June.

On the Republican side, Colorado Springs District Attorney Michael Allen had a decent fundraising quarter but finished with a dismal cash-on-hand number. Also, David Wilson is a candidate.

State Sen. Jessie Danielson far outpaced Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder Amanda Gonzalez in Q1, demonstrating a decent recovery after seeing her numbers fall off in the last quarter. Still, neither Democrat seems to have the money to do much of anything in terms of paid advertising before ballots start dropping on June 8.

As for Republican James Wiley…well, he’s maintaining a disciplined burn rate.

Campaigns for State Treasurer in Colorado haven’t generated a lot of interest in decades, and 2026 appears to be no different. Democrat Jeff Bridges is nevertheless running away with this race, with more than seven times as much money in the bank as his Republican opponent. Kevin Grantham will have to console himself with a reminder that he is at least doing better than James Wiley.
