GOP gubernatorial candidate Victor Mitchell is taking the gloves off in his latest 30-second TV spot, punching squarely at GOP frontrunner Walker Stapleton’s close relations to the Bush family political dynasty. We’re not completely sold on the animation quality, which seems like it might have been made with some kind of online video generator–but the message Mitchell is delivering about Stapleton being a “Bush insider” could be highly potent among iconoclastic GOP primary voters in the era of Trump.
Next time, may we suggest adding a “please clap.”

A right-wing outsider running to shake things up? How did that work out with Hitler?
I hear from locals who are getting Vic Mitchell mailers and seeing his TV ads that his agenda is as bad as anything Trump puts out. It's anti-health care, anti- immigrant, anti- tax, period. Mitchell is like a well-spoken, smiley Trump who actually is a successful businessman.
Westword analyzed Mitchell's digital ad, which apparently is plaguing youtubers:
In fairness, Westword was not fond of Stapleton. Johnston, or Polis' ads, either.
Any of you registered Rs want to comment on your Vic Mitchell mailers?
I like Vic Mitchell, he is not one to sign on to group think.
Greg Lopez has the best chance of winning the general election if he can get by the swamp.
Stapler's been Bushwhacked!
You do have to admit that hiring George Plimpton for the voiceover was funny.
I wonder if Gov. Hickenlooper will decry this negative ad, too.
