Inside the "Tea Party Express"

by: Colorado Pols

Wed Nov 04, 2009 at 20:03:57 PM MST

Forwarded video, a little under three minutes of last night's "Tea Party Express" protest in downtown Denver. Apparently beginning with the approach of a comparatively small group of pro-health care reform demonstrators, the encounter becomes progressively angrier until Tea Party organizers step in and beg attendees, "don't give us a bad name."

Most ironic visible signage: "We're fed up with you thugs."

USA!! USA!!
I love it when my country's name is used to shout people down. It's like taking the Lord's name in vain.

F*** Yeah, America!
That's what it reminded me of.

D-U-M-B, Everyone's accusing me!
Here's more of the Ramones, this week: Gabba Gabba Hey! We accept you, we accept you, one of us! I don't wanna be a pinhead, no more...

Great video, thanks.

Thanks...
Glad to meet a fellow Ramones listener (following up to your recent post). I thought the sound and tone of this Ramones video was pretty darn similar to the Tea Party Parade above.

First I miss VJ day.
.
Then I miss the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Then last night I missed this.

Life is passing me by.
.

And some of my friends wonder why I don't vote GOP anymore

All in politics
Again the typical American is left with the bills.  First the bail out and then we reward the Tycoons of wall street!  So who is going to pay for this mess? US .. or USA

I couldn't make it a minute into the video
I have strong allergic reactions to stupidity and hypocrisy.  Especially when multiplied exponentially due to the safety of a mob.

You should have waited a bit
After the finger wagging and shouting (I had to mute the audio) at about 1:35 it is clear the camera person has been identified as unfriendly

First some historian is holding what looks like a Gadsden handkerchief in front of the camera.
Then my favorite part- at approx 2:00 the blonde woman who thinks her  wiggling fingers will somehow obstruct the camera. You know something about the light waves being deflected by her energy.

[ Parent ]
I found it ironic
that some wanted to obstruct the camera: If they were proud of themselves, they should have welcomed the camera. Maybe even they realize how they appear to rational people of good will.

We're all in this story together: Let's make sure that we write it well.

I'm reminded of Taxi Driver
