I do hope, since funding is being lost for critical stuff, that the Navy and Air Force ground the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds
and the Stealth bomber flyovers, etc. Huge waste of fuel.
Yes, I've been told by a military guy that the Thunderbirds are essentially grounded, and I've seen news reports that the Blue Angels are likewise at least limited.
In fact I'd guess that most public demonstrations of our nation's flying machines are grounded for now, because their operating budget is better used keeping our pilots in training.
I also read that after I posted. These are simply ALWAYS a waste of money and a display of military might. They don't help recruit piolts, pilots self recruit. Put these pilots back into squadron rotations. Most are so senior they will retire and that will save us money as well. I am not anti-military. I actually don't think there is a lot of corruption in the military. I am anti-war generally and think only a few that we have been in have been justified. And, only a very few have been to preserve the Americacn way of life or our rights
