Works like the old site, except better.
We know that Movable Type’s poor performance under this blog’s heavy traffic loads has been a problem for quite some time. We’re hopeful that moving to this new system will take care of the problem definitively.

And the comments work, too.
hmmm… so no differences? Just faster??
It is ok, but if a bozo like me can still comment here you know the site isn’t perfect yet.
…I liked that “most recent comments” stuff to the right of the page on the last site. Any chance we could get something like that back?
Just wanted to see if the hype is true.
Im not a computer wiz by any means, but the left side of the pages looks a little sloppy. Any particular reason? Im using Mozilla, could that be the problem?
sorry, the right side of the page is sloppy
Are you going to have a listing of recent comments on the right sidebar like the MT platform, or is the current lack of such just an oversight or one of many tasks still to be done in the move?
Are you switching to WordPress or another platform?
Moving everything sounds like a big chore 🙁 but hopefully performance will be better 🙂
Just testing new system. And, oh, did I mention, Holtzman is a jerk?
Yes, there appears to be a Mozilla display problem. We’re addressing it.
So much for RSS full text. That was nice. Guess I’ll just have to actually come to the site now.
Testing…gonna hang for an hour?
Holy crap! Software that actually works!
Hey cool! Can’t wait to see how it works!
I like the much faster comment posting! That should cut down on duplicate posts. Much thanks, Dead Guvs.
I also appreciate your replicating the feature of previewing comments by mousing over the list of recent comments.
Cool, but do you have a Sir Robin filter?
Lock him in the closet! Always worked for us.
Ok, I posted a joke about how slow the site was 2 weeks ago and you fix it – wow.
What if I now post a comment suggesting no anonymous posts?

The font is very small tonight, much smaller than earlier in the day. Otherwise, the software seems improved. Thank you, coloradopols.
A somewhat larger font would surely be appreciated by some of us with ancient eyes!!!
Hmm. A bit bigger on the font, please. Too small on both IE6 and Mozilla 1.5.
Text size increased. Does that help?
My eyes thank you! Yes, it helped a lot.
Now to fix the incredibly large left-side border on Mozilla; it’s making the Recent Comments section a bit chunky.
Woah! That is odd in Mozilla. We’ll get that straightened out.
At David Thielen’s request, he will no longer be allowed to post anonymously. 😉
I am in Safari and I was wondering if you are now justifying the main table to the center? There is a wide strip of blue on the left now so I have to scroll a little right to see the whole page (just a little though).
Couldn’t help but notice that postings are still coming up in Standard Mountian Time as opposed to Daylight Savings Time. Might want to flip that flag lest people start talking about you guys being a Left Coast conspiracy or something.
