President Trump loves to refer to his predecessor, Joe Biden, as “Sleepy Joe” because Biden is old and he is, well, slightly less-old.
Biden turned 83 in November, and while he has not exactly been climbing mountains in recent years, it’s tough to argue that he’s not in better shape than the Big Orange Guy. Trump will be told that he’s celebrating his 80th birthday in June, and then he’ll have a piece of cake and fall asleep in the Oval Office.
Age itself is less of a problem than how the individual person is functioning physically and mentally. For all the shit that Trump talked about Biden regarding his age as President, Biden never did this:
Trump is about to hit REM on camera during an Oval Office event. It’s just incredible.

Trump is sleeping when he should be working. As Harry Sisson pointed out on ‘X’ (at right), that’s partly because Trump is doing other things when he should be sleeping.
Americans are noticing, even if MAGA is whistling past the graveyard. As Fox News explains:
A 56% majority of voters say the Trump administration has not been competent at managing the federal government, according to a Fox News poll released Wednesday. Two in 10 Republicans join most independents (7 in 10) and Democrats (9 in 10) in holding that view, while 4 in 10 non-MAGA Republicans also agree.
In recent weeks, it has been common to see several headlines pointing out that Trump has sunk to a “new low” in his approval ratings. Here’s NBC News from Sunday:
President Donald Trump’s job approval rating has sunk to a new low as Americans express growing concerns about rising costs and the war with Iran, according to an NBC News Decision Desk Poll powered by SurveyMonkey.
Overall, 37% of adults approve of Trump’s performance as president, while 63% disapprove — including 50% who said they disapprove strongly — putting his job rating at the lowest point of his second term in NBC News Decision Desk polling. Two-thirds of respondents also disapproved of Trump’s handling of inflation and the Iran conflict.
Here’s The Associated Press on Tuesday:
Only 33% of U.S. adults approve of Trump’s overall job performance, down slightly from 38% last month.
Trump’s falling approval ratings could create problems for his party as it tries to defend House and Senate majorities in the midterm elections. The poll finds that Trump is especially weak on cost of living, and enthusiasm about Trump’s performance has waned over the past year among his own supporters.
Kathryn Bright, 60, a retired captain in the U.S. Air Force who lives near Colorado Springs, regrets that she supported Trump in the last election.
“I feel disgusted with myself, I feel betrayed, like he was a wolf in sheep’s clothing,” she said.
As Navigator Research reported on Thursday, one in five Americans who voted for Trump in 2024 now say they regret that vote.
Prices are rising, inflation is up, and we’re stuck in another war that seems to have no end in sight. President Trump is quite literally asleep at the wheel.
