Lauren Boebert Leaks Photo From Closed-Door Testimony in Congress

Once again, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Windsor) is making Colorado proud.

And by “proud,” we mean “embarrassed.”

As The Associated Press reports:

Testimony by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was briefly disrupted Thursday after U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado shared a photo of the closed-door proceeding that was posted online.

Clinton was testifying in a deposition about Jeffrey Epstein. At one point, the deposition was paused after Boebert sent a photo to a conservative influencer who posted it on social media, violating the committee’s rules for depositions. The New York Times reported that Clinton halted her testimony after learning about the image, and her attorneys objected and asked to pause the proceedings, since Clinton had sought unsuccessfully to testify in a public hearing.

Her testimony resumed about 30 minutes later, the Times reported.

Sharing an image taken from inside a closed-door hearing is a really bad look for Republicans, particularly given that Hillary Clinton tried repeatedly to make her testimony public. There’s no question that the picture of Clinton came from Boebert, since right-wing influencer Benny Johnson literally credited her in a post on ‘X’:

Maybe — and we’re just spitballing here — it’s a bad idea to let Boebert in the room for any sort of closed-door discussion unless you are secretly hoping she’ll screw up and immediately leak something to her MAGA friends.

We say it all the time: Colorado Republicans are not serious people interested in doing serious things.
