Colorado Republicans and their emasculated “no compromise” gun rights leaders held a virtual press conference this morning to shake their collective fists over the passage of SB25-003…and to show off some racist pornography.
Senate Bill 003 is the new gun safety legislation, signed by Gov. Jared Polis, that requires a permit and safety training to purchase high-powered firearms that accept detachable magazines. The bill also prohibits the purchase and sale of all rapid fire conversion devices (such as bump stocks and binary triggers). Republicans and their overlords at Rocky Mountain Gun Owners (RMGO) held a virtual event this morning intended to get the attention of U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi and convince her to “investigate” Colorado for violating the Second Amendment.
That was the plan, anyway, until things went a little awry. As Brandon Richard of Denver7 explains:

It’s also worth noting that everyone participating in the press event could have faced misdemeanor charges for the porn display had this bill from Republican Rep. Rebecca Keltie received enough support to move forward.
Sometimes the universe just figures it out.
