My guess is that he KNOWs it isn't going anywhere, but it will give him some media attention.
But why does he want the attention? What's up his sleeve?
Citizen's United has been a two-edged sword. They didn't realize how well the left would adapt and learn how to rake in lots of money.
It actually predated the Citizen's United decision. Remember back in 2004 when the four millionaires financed the Democrats takeover of the Colorado legislature?
I was very impressed by the manner in which the socialists learned how to tap into the evil capitalist system and fundraise so effectively. Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and AOC know how to access money. (I mean that as a sincere compliment although they may not take it that way.)
And, of course, the GOP selected as its leader a millionaire who does not give but only takes from the party in 2016 and 2020. It is literally the opposite of the Dems campaign finance model.
When they give you lemons, make lemonade. It's just that the Dems have made much better lemonade.
I have enjoyed watching Democrats beat the Greedy Old Perverts at their own game.
More positive media attention than his fist clenching towards the Deplorables and Irredeemables as they were headed to the Capitol on 1/6.
That photo is never going away, no matter how many things he does right.
