AP reported Colorado news yesterday:
350 homes destroyed, with only a fortuitous snow storm stopping much MUCH more destruction in Estes Park; 6 or 7 months for investigation. And the cause remains unclear. But "the investigation is ongoing."
They still don't know what caused the Marshall fire – but it could likely be human caused. But in the case of the Marshall fire, even if it was human stupidity, the cause of the extent was how dry it was and the high winds. So a combination of global warming and a perfect storm.
One thing I read the other day that has me really depressed about out future – the future of our democracy can be overturned at any time if the Republicans are willing to go that far. And clearly a lot of them (not all) are willing to.
I'm never worried about the end of the world because I always have rooftop snipers by my side. You also try it to feel more comfortable with this busy world.
